Drag Reducer Applications and our Product Range Benefits
As a result of the application of a DRA, it is possible to delay or avoid capital expenditure at a low operational cost. Examples are the increase in oil production without changing the installation, preventing replacing old pipes by working at a lower operating pressure, and accommodating larger volumes of produced water without enlarging the installation.
Although the first application of DRA on dry crude oil occurred more than forty years ago, applying those additives on multiphase systems is still quite challenging and started only a few years ago.
Arkema has a range of DRA that have been proven effective in both dry crude oil and multiphase systems and offers the injection skids needed to succeed in applying those additives.

Prochinor® Range
Prochinor® are demulsifiers/emulsion breakers and desalting additives used to separate water from crude oil and meet the BS&W and salinity specifications, as well as separated water quality requirements.
Prochinor® demulsifiers offer an optimum treatment of emulsions whatever the crude oil characteristics and process conditions: paraffinic, asphaltenic and naphtenic crudes and low temperature, short processing and short storage times.
