Electro deposition coating

Optimizing Your Electro deposition coating Process

The automotive and industrial coating producers rely heavily on various chemicals which provide the right properties for electro-deposition coatings. Our polyetherdiols are used in the resin production, which consists, most of the time, of an epoxy extension. Special polyols will convey the compromise between hardness and flexibility, keeping the heat resistance and chemical resistance of the film.

Arkema’s additives cover a wide range of desired properties such as film building, low shrinkage, flexibility, and leveling process. We provide coalescing agents based on aromatic glycols, plasticizers with high hydrolysis resistance, and bath stabilizers that allow good coating stability (avoid accidental flocculation).

Radiation curing systems


The radiation-curing monomers and oligomers manufacturers are looking for a wide range of properties that our intermediates can offer. Our building blocks can provide Chemical, Heat, and Hydrolysis resistance linked to the unique properties of our starting materials. Our alkoxylated polyols are based on Polyetherglycols or Polyetherpolyols.

Our polyols are used in direct esterification with acrylic or methacrylic acids or anhydrides. Transesterification with alkyl acrylates or methacrylates is a possibility that offers higher purity monomers. Epoxy expansion is the choice for epoxy-acrylate synthesis. Our polyetherdiols or polyethertriols are used in the design of other oligomers, such as special urethane-acrylates or polyester-acrylates.
