Arkema's Restore® hot-in-place asphalt recycling technology involves heating and milling the existing pavement to a depth of typically 1.5-2.5 inches and adding a specialized asphalt emulsion featuring exclusive Arkema emulsifier chemistry to the millings. The mixed material is windrowed, picked up with a conventional elevator and then put into a mix paver. The material goes through the paver and screed, followed by compaction with conventional rollers. Since both processes are continuous, the end product is uniform and smooth. The result is 100% recycled pavement material and is usually capped with a thin surface treatment.

Restore® hot-in-place asphalt recycling is engineered to meet performance-related specifications and provides the highest and most reliable performance. With Restore® hot-in-place asphalt recycling, government agencies benefit from an option for rehabilitating roads with minor to major distresses that delivers typical cost savings of 30-40% compared to traditional paving methods and significant reductions in user delays.
